Fabulous Photo Gifts moves to new premises
There’s never an easy time to move premises when you’re a busy retailer, so choosing the Easter holiday fortnight to move might seem like verging on madness, but as Mandy Collins, Proprietor of Fabulous Photo Gifts and it’s sister company Purple 13, explained, when you’ve ‘gotta go, you’ve gotta go’.
“We’d been actively seeking a new larger unit from which to operate Fabulous Photo Gifts from, but when space became available at the Derwentside, where I already had a hanging wall display of Purple 13 artworks, it seemed the natural choice.
There will be examples of the various personalised photo gift products you can order online as well as a chance to view the latest additions to the personalised gift line up before they go live on the website.
We hope local business people will also take the opportunity to drop in and see for themselves the quality of the product and the versatility they can offer for marketing and corporate awareness opportunities.”
And the new business address is already promising to be a hit. With a larger selection of Purple 13 artworks also available to view, and buy ready framed, as mounted prints or prints etc, there’s no shortage of gift ideas for art lovers either.
Mandy said “We didn’t want to disrupt deliveries to customers in any way so the logistics of finding and then moving into new premises has been especially difficult. However, once we’d decided on locating to the Derwentside, everybody was so helpful and family members have all chipped in to make the transition go as smoothly as possible.
There’s still loads of art to hang and arrange, but hopefully that will only add to the visitor experience as there’ll be new things to see and purchase every time they visit”.
The new unit has one very important aspect – a ‘shop front’ on the high street that many online personalised photo gift retailers do not have.
“We feel it’s another reason why both private individuals and businesses should buy from us. Although the bulk of our orders come directly from online sales, we’d always intended to offer a more personalised service and give customers the chance to view our products before they buy.
Also the setting – an historic former cotton mill with its unique interior contrasts nicely and makes the perfect backdrop for our state of the art personalised photo gift ideas and the Purple 13 digital photo art.”
The Derwentside itself, is Derbyshire’s largest stockist of original, bespoke and reproduction furniture and offers a friendly welcome and a host of ideas for both homeowners and the home / business renovation and re-fitting trade.
The showroom – Unit P13 - is open 7 days a week, 8.30am to 5.00pm and is located at Derwentside, Derwent Street, Belper, Derbyshire, DE56 1WN. There is ample FREE parking making it both a stylish and practical business address for Fabulous Photo Gifts and Purple 13.

London Marathon latest from Purple13
The London Marathon has surely become one of the greatest participation sporting events ever created.
Thousands of runners from the serious world athletes to the thousands of fund raising runners, fun runners and atheletic clubs taking part, will share the endurance of the route around some of London's most famous landmarks and tourist spots on April 22nd.
Our own neighbour is also running this year's London Marathon after finally getting her application granted – something she's been trying to do for years, and she'll be hoping to raise lots of money as well as beat a personal best. She'll be one of the 46,500 runners lucky enough to get a place from over 80,000 applicants.
A record 32,899 runners crossed the finish line in 2002.
Apart from very sore feet, all of the runners will also share something else in common – a photograph of themselves crossing the finishing line.
So what better way to create a lasting reminder of your own or a loved ones participation in the London Marathon (or any other sporting event for that matter) then having a marathon day memory made into a fabulous personalised photo gift – perhaps a photo jigsaw puzzle or why not try our newest personalised photo gift idea – the photo CD clock.
Our jigsaws are available in 13 different size and backing options from 24 piece to 2000 piece including fun fridge magnet magnetic backed jigsaws, and feature free box printing and free delivery.
Our photo CD clocks are available ready built and ready to hang, or in simple build yourself kit form. Both options come with an attractive clear acrylic stand to use as a desk clock.
Our best wishes and congratulations to all the athletes taking part in this years London Marathon and in particular to our neighbour, who's raising money for the Holbrook Centre for Autism.
