Say Hi to Pippa - Richmond & Kew Magazine

We'd like to pinch a bit of your online viewing time to tell you about our friend Pippa who publishes her very own monthly community magazine for the Richmond and Kew areas of London.

Called simply Living in Richmond and Kew, Pippa's magazine showcases local businesses to the local community with the emphasis on encouraging locals residents to use the businesses on their doorstep.

It's a very worthwhile read.

So if you live in the Richmond and Kew areas, then why not pay her newly re-designed website a visit where you can read both back and current issues, catch up with her online local business directory and interact with the magazine via the Richmond and Kew Blog.

Oh, and in case you used to live in the Richmond and Kew Area, but you've since moved away, maybe you'll recognise the famous local landmark shown above?

Work from home - run your own community magazine.

Are you looking for a work from home opportunity that you can fit around the kids, schools, and even other employment?

Fabulous Photo Gifts was recently introduced to Tania who runs Mags 2 Riches - a company dedicated to getting you up and running as your own boss, producing your very own community magazine.

Tania - Mags2Riches Founder.

As her website says, Tania's been there herself and learnt a lot of important lessons along the way.

We were very impressed with the amount of information available on her website and would like to wish her all the best. Through the completely redesigned website, she and her team can share that knowledge with you and help you make your dream of running your own business a reality.

Said Tania "it doesn't matter whether you've been made redundant, fancy a career change or you're a mum at home with the kids and looking to provide some extra home income - we can help you realise your dream of being your own boss".

If you'd like to find out more, please visit Tania's Mags 2 Riches website and take a look for yourself.

My good deed for the day

When was the last time you did a good deed for the day?

Round these parts, we have a very useful local community magazine called All Things Local delivered every 2 months. Its packed with useful numbers, local businesses (including Fabulous Photo Gifts) and news and features about and by local people in abd around the Belper and Kilburn areas.

The Editor is an old friend so not only was I extremely pleased when she asked me to design the website for her, I was only too happy to volunteer for a spot of delivering around the close where we live.

Of course 'round the close' turned into 250 copies. Not bad but when the weather's wet, not the best place to be. So this morning I did my good deed by delivering my copies in the early morning sun.

One of the benefits of doing a good deed is that the job is usually its own reward and this morning was no exception. Walking round, I came across a ginger cat laying in a sunken basement window grill. Closer inspection revealed the miracle of 3 little ginger kittens - eyes just opening snuggled up against her.

Made my day.

There's a bit of a buzz in Fabulous Photo Gifts office as our full page advert appears in this weekends new issue of All Things Local - a community magazine that is distributed to: Coxbench, Denby, Duffield, Holbrook, Horsley, Horsley Woodhouse, Kilburn, Little Eaton, Lower Kilburn, Milford, Morley and Smalley in Derbyshire, UK.

Our web designer has designed the new All Things Local website which also goes live this weekend to coincide with Issue 4's publication.

The All Things Local website is designed to compliment the printed magazine which is printed and distributed every two months. Compiled by Editor Karyn Milner, the magazine is intended to encourage local people to use local businesses.

The magazine and website also contain details of clubs, groups and societies in the area as well as a what's on guide and emergency and school telephone numbers for the area.

The website has a directory of local businesses that advertise in the All Things Local pubilcation and repeats the main editiorial features - recipe, wine and Sam's column as well as offering exclusive online competitions in conjunction with Fabulous Photo Gifts.

It's well worth a visit and a great resource of local information for the Belper area. Click here to visit the All Things Local website now.
